MORE ABOUT ME
I've lived in Stansbury Park Utah for 15 years and have 3 kids, a husband, and 2 dogs. I love to garden, cook, read, create, and travel with my family.
I started sewing with my mother at a young age on a 1971 Bernina Record 680, which I still have, and learned the basics watching her. My mom would make my sister and I dresses, and taught us how sew a straight seam, how to baste, gather, and hem.

I started making flannel baby blankets when I had my own kids and then began the laborious journey of making clothes. I was so grateful for Facetime when it came along so that I could sew again under the direction of my Mother's expert guidance. Trial and error, and lots of time sitting with a seam ripper has taught me that each and every time you make a mistake, I've learned something! I love learning.
Nothing I make is perfect and that is okay by me. I hope to instill that in my students, that mistakes are part of the process. About 8 years ago I started making quilts and am in love with the process of this time honored and dwindling tradition and art form. Creating something is a human need we all have and through sewing I have learned that it not only helps us feel better about ourselves and who we are, but it makes the world a beautiful place.
I hope you come learn with me soon!
